Before writing Hide & Seek Clare earned her living from investigative reporting, aka chasing bad men.

In 2000, with her partner Andrew Jennings, she co-authored The Great Olympic Swindle: When the World Wanted its Games Back which was shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award.

Lately she’s contributed editing and rewriting to Andrew’s new book, FOUL! The Secret World of FIFA: Bribes, Vote Rigging and Ticket Scandals, now in eleven languages.
